91 240 transmission Topic is solved

I have a 1991 240 with automatic transmission that will not shift into high gear. I have had the transmission serviced and the mechanic thought the problem might be electrical. The problem started by the transmission down shifting into passing gear for no reason, and then not shifting back up. Now the transmission will not shift into high at all. Any ideas?

You might have a bad overdrive relay or bad overdrive solenoid. Or possible bad transmission.

Is the arrow light on at the moment?
