'95 940 Transmission not shifting Topic is solved

Hello I am the owner of a '95 940. I am no longer able to shift from Park to anything and when we start the car it just takes off! Any ideas? I never knew of Volvos to just lose the transmission without any warnings.

Mine did, getting a new transmission put it this Saturday..

well, it wont accelerate forward, but before that happened my gears were all functioning improperly, i wish my car jumped forward...
