non-working fuel gauge

Post by 850Rblackbeauty »

I just purchased a 95 850T5-R. The fuel gauge is not working. The person I bought it from said it was until about 2 or 3 days before I picked it up. Anyone have any ideas? :?:

It could be the sensor for the fuel level or the wiring for it...

Sure it was, pal! (pal=seller)

Seems like an expensive hassle-type job but don't really know. Many people just use the trip odometer and track manually. One day you know something will go wrong with that method, however and you'll be thumbing it to the nearest gas station.
