new or rebuilt turbo needed! Topic is solved

I need to replace the turbo in my 96 850 turbo.

It leaks oil like crazy. I need to know the part number or just what turbo will fit. I think the engine is the b5234T.

I called a dealer and the mechanic said I needed the low compression turbo part no# 8601070, but I think he was wrong.

the first of my VIN is YV1LS5725T that means its the high comp turbo right?

Does anyone know where to find a good new one or rebuilt one cheap ?!?!?!

I'm not sure if the above model is compatible with a 1996 850. I have seen used turbochargers on eBay in the past. I believe there are a couple for sale now even.Perhaps the seller may have other models available that aren't listed. Hope it helps......Mike

Have you checked the o rings on oil lines?
