VIBRATION ON FREEWAY Topic is solved

We just picked up our 2005 xc70 last week.
I noticed a bit vibrations @ freeway speed around 70MPH,
so I brought the car back today and asked them to balance the tires,
what they did without any comments.
After work i pick up the car and drive around a little bit on the freeway
I feel the vibritions again.

Does anyone have this kind of problems?

I don't remember which post it was, but even a dealer said it was normal

My 850 is a bit unstable once over 75, but thats probably because the shocks were on there for the last 166K miles (thats a LONG time).

Seriously ask the dealer about the vibrations. If they say nothing, then wait till the end of the burn-in period, where everything on the car is "loosened" up (its true, cars that long past the burn-in period actually perform better than when they were just taken off the lot).

With the tires properly balanced I would have the rear tires rotated to the front to see if it may be a bad set of tires. A brick can be ballanced to spin with out any vibration - the wheels may not be round but egg shaped and balanced properly. During this time ask to test drive another XC70 and see if it is present on the test vehicle.

I am a bit skeptical that a vibration is normal in one of these cars.

It's not uncommon to have this problem on a brand new car. Usually the problem are the tires out of round. If the car was parked for a long time, the tires could developed a flat spot. Ask the dealer to try your car with another set of tires/rims from another car that doesn't have the vibration problem.
