2000 S70

Post by skane »

Hi,

I'm contemplating buying a 2000 S70 with 80,000 miles.

The asking price is $10,500. Is this a fair price? I was also looking at a

2002 S60 but was advised that the s70 is more sturdy and dependable.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Shane

2000 S70 is plagued with the electronic throttle body problems. You might never get this problem, but if you do it does cost a lot of money to fix. I'm sure that by the time the 2002 S60 came out, the problem and many others were fixed.

I personally would stay away from a 2000 S70 for various mechanical and electrical reasons. If you can find a clean low mileage 1998 S70, I think it will make a far better car for you.
