What are the best replacement struts? I've heard Bilstein's but also that Koni's were the way to go. Mostly city driving on bad/bumpy roads.

Well if you want performance and affordability without a shitty ride and you aren't into tuning your shocks then bilstein is the way to go :)

www.fcpgroton.com has good prices on bilsteins

Bilstien are probably the best, but you will not see their true benifit without sport springs, Boge are very good shocks, as are KYB, both priced substantually less than Bilstein. Price around, as mentioned www.fcpgroton.com but also check out www.ipdusa.com

i don't know about boge but all ive heard is that kyb uses the same corner cutting methods (shitty leaking parts) in their shocks that wear & leak prematurely and give floating ride

I have used KYB on customer cars and my own for many years, I have only had one shock fail and KYB replaced it with no questions asked. The gas adjust model provides a definite improvement in handling and are superior to Monroe (I have experienced many failures and bad shocks made by them) and similar after market OEM replacements. There quality is excellent.

Boge are what Volvo used as there factory OEM on many of there cars, again an excellent product. Actually I have had more shock failures and problems with Koni, but it has been quite a few years since I have used them so I would not like to say that any problems still exist.
