Volvo Transmission problem Topic is solved

Hi guys, I have a problem with my old 1985 standard Volvo stationwagon. I was driving it today and everytime that I stoped in a red light, the transmission automaticly wanted to change to 1st gear. Sometimes when I'm in a certain speed, it wants to change to the next gear.

What's the problem?

Please help me with this problem.

What is the problem? It is not clear from your post or as clear as mud. If you have an automatic transmission it is supposed to shift down into first when you stop, it also automatically shifts up when you reach certain speeds.
