v70 xc trunk panel Topic is solved

my rear hatch is broken. the lock seems to be jammed. i need to get into the hatch panel. i've taken it all off except i can't figure out how to slde it over the center piece with houses the handle. i'd appreciate any help. thanks

I;m pretty sure the V70 door is like the 850. In that case, the embedded handle needs to be pryed from the top to release the short plastic tabs holding it to the door. I was able to get it off by just pulling and prying with a scraper. Don't pry from the bottom, or you will break it.
