RE: a 1993 850 GLT. My SRS light came on a few weeks ago. Since that time, I have noticed that my transmission arrow came on, but then went out by itself. My ABS light is NOT on, yet I have many ABS codes. Keep in mind the car drives, shifts, and brakes fine, no problems at all. I proactively replaced all the instrument cluster warning bulbs a few months ago. They all work the way they should. The transmission DTCs are still in storage, they are 122/331/332/132. I know what all the codes mean, I own a pocket data booklet. I'm not looking for an explanation of codes. For the hell of it, I checked the "combined instrument" for DTCs, even though no light is on. I found 132/122. My ECC unit started flashing today, although it works perfectly. Those codes are 211/414/417/418. Those make no sense. According to those DTCs, the fan should not be blowing. The ABS codes are interesting, 312/211/212/213/214/144. Again, they make no sense, the brakes are new and have not been overheated. The transmission codes are,122/331/332/132.
My questions are:
1. How can I have codes stored, yet no (ABS) lights on?
2. This seems like some kind of CPU failure that is giving off all these random DTCs that really aren't even there. This has been going on for the past three-weeks or so. Today was the final straw though. Has anyone else ever seen this bizarre pattern of codes. It's almost like I'm heading towards a complete system failure or something...

my suggestion is to reset all codes just to see if they will show again. Sometimes when a single sensor is bad it will throw lots of codes for no reason...good luck!

Thanks. I did clear all the codes anyway, tomorrow when I drive it I'll see what happens. I hate OBD, everything is so unnecessarily complex.
