Auto Climate not working

1996 850 Turbo 152,000, I am only getting heat when I turn the knob all the way up to 84, I get heat @78 and 72 but I would say it is not @ this temp. I think it is intermitant, but most of the time cooler than I think @ the lower settings. Any ideas?
