Dear Fellow Volvoers,

I have several problems I need advice on.

I have an 83 240 GL in which the speedometer does not work. Can you give me some step-by-step fault procedures to follow to help me get to the cause of the problem? Then, I will return to ask about the fix.

And, I have a 93 940 turbo wagon in which the air no longer comes out of any of the vents. The compressor works fine because cold air seeps out by forward movement of the car. I need some procedures to follow to narrow down the problem, then fix it.

Since I am not totally mechanical, I need advice on where to find the screws and bolts and tabs to get to in order to get to where I need to be.

I had the speedo, the gear, on my 81 fixed by a speedo shop- it is much easier than doing it your self.

Re: 940- sounds like your heater/ac fan is shot. That is involved and wouldn't suggest DIY unless you are mechanically oriented.
