Oil Leak in Volvo 740 Topic is solved

My 1990 Volvo 740 non-turbo started spilling oil out of the oil filler cap. I replaced the cap but oil still leaks out. The motor still runs great and does not have any noises. What can be causing this?

Maybe it is the flame trap or the oil trap. The flame trap should be cleaned or replaced rather often. My guess is that the crank house is breathing through your filler cap. It should be breathing through the flame trap.

LaRy, Thank You very Much. The oil leak was caused by the clogged flame trap filter. Now she purrs just like new again. Thank you for your help.
