help with passenger door lock Topic is solved

The front passenger door on my 98 v70 will not lock. I can use the key or the remote and all other door locks operate properly and the lock pin on the broken door lock actually travels up and down with the rest but it refuses to lock. Can anyone lend some much needed advice? Thanks.

You need a new door lock actuator, a common failure in ALL Volvos, about $150 or so installed by the dealer.
If the car is a 99 and newer this HAS to be done at the dealer as they are Vadis actuated
