How do you remove the manual shift knob off a 98 S70? Topic is solved

How do you remove the manual shift knob off a 98 S70?

Hi I just bought a '98 S70 T5 and I want to replace the ugly plastic shift knob with a matching wooden one. However, I have tried everything short of cutting it off, any suggestions.
Please help
