98 s70 and 2000 XC engine swap

can I swap engine from 98 s70 to 2000 XC So far I see valve cover and oil pan is different. so can I switch valve cover ?

It's doubtful, because the 2000 XC has electronic throttle control, so the ECU is different. Even if the ECU was swapped the probability of an electronic snafu is pretty high.
