Radio Static

Post by grumpy1937 »

I have a 2000 S70. Lately, I am experiencing an RPM static in the radio when tuned to AM stations. This is not engine noise, because it stops when the vehicle is stopped, sitting still. As soon as the wheels start to rotate the noise returns. Anyone else with this problem??

This is just a guess, but, there is a setting where the volume of the radio changes with the speed of the car. It will get louder as the car goes faster. If this setting is on, maybe it is causing the static? I wish I could tell you how to tun the setting on or off, but it's one of these secret hidden radio tricks that nobody really knows about. :( Hope somebody else can build on this to help you out. Good luck.
