replace a turbo with a used one? and get the software right? Topic is solved

Well My turbo has finnally packed it in, and to make matters worse I found a used one for $100 dollers but am beiing told that it will most likely not work due to the difference in software? I have to match the part numbers or something like that, does this make sence to anyone?

it is a 1994 850 by the way

So long as the turbo came from a '94 or '95 850 turbo w/ the conical flange outlet, there should be no problems with fitment.

ECU Software Update is only needed if you install a larger turbo or intercooler. Forget buying a used one.

Have your current turbo rebuilt professionally. It shouldn't cost much more than $300. Remember to use a new turbo oil feed line. Shop and Compare, starting with Forced Performance...
