Igntion/ shift lock problem Topic is solved

I have a recently purchased 93 240 wagon (automatic) with ignition shift lock installed (I'm not sure if all 93 240's have this function). I normally can press the brake pedal to deactivate the lock and the car will start. Suddenly, today the lock would not deactivate (when brake is applied) as normal and the car will not start. Any ideas? The wheel is not locked. The shifter is, but I can move it by pressing the shift override button. Still, the car won't start.????
