Radio works but tape player doesn't Topic is solved

Hi,

I have a 1991 volvo 740, and a couple of weeks ago the tape player stopped working. The radio still works well. At first I tried it with a Cd->Tape adapter, and it wasn't reading it nor producing any sound. Next I tried it with a real tape and I noticed that it wasn't spinning it either. However, the fast forward and rewind buttons work. Any idea on how I can fix this?

Possibly need new rubber belt which costs cents.

With the cost of new players so cheap, u could consider changing the entire unit, the rollers would all be hard and out of round after so many years.
