V70 battery leaking power - dead within 2/3 days

Post by Guest »

Just bought a V70 - left on drive for 3 days and the battery was totally flat (battery only 2 weeks old). Called AA who identified that their was voltage leaking from battery but could not identify what would be causing it. Has anyone experienced similar? could it be a fault with alarm?

Have you noticed anything not quite right?
lights going on when they shouldn't, doors not locking properly
alarm fault?

Check all the lights you normally think would be off, such as glove box, trunk lights etc. Check all the switches in the doors, maybe take a close look around at night making sure there is no visible lights on.
Seems strange if there is nothing out of the ordinary, but maybe have a second opinion on that battery, even new ones if they are on the shelf a while will go dead.
