Speedo working when not running Topic is solved

I had to replace my Bulb Failure Sensor to fix my brake lights. Now, after completing the reinstall, the engine will not start. When I try to crank the engine, the speedo starts running like I'm going down the road at 40 mph. The engine cranks and cranks but refuses to start. I know to check for spark, but am wondering why the speedo is going by itself?

When several odd faults happens at the same tame after doing some electric job, you have most probably lost connection to the ground. Then the zero (minus-pole) will be floating and odd problems will happen like your speedo. Look for a lost (ground)-wire.
