1994 940 turbo sputtering intermittently under load and idle Topic is solved

Other day, my 940 started running like on 2 or 3 cylinders. Ran this way under load for several miles. When at traffic lights, I would shift to neutral and it would smooth out.
I parked at my destination for couple hours and when I drove home after dark (it was over 90 degrees and had cooled by then) it ran just fine.
Next couple days, no problem. This evening ran rough intermittently. also, hiccups occasionly at stop lights.
It is due throttle body clean but don't think that is cause of missing under load. Plugs have about 20,000 miles on them. Wires and distributor cap about 100,000.
Any thoughts?

i'd have a look at the plugs, and definitly the distributer. be prepared to change both. do what you want with the wires... they're cheap enough that changing them shouldn't be too much of a problem, but i doubt that this is the problem.
