240 rebuild Topic is solved

I have an '81 240 with CI. What year did CI stop? Could I install a later non-CI engine in? Are there non-Volvo engines that also work with the 240 '81?

I installed a gas vaporizer on the car, but due to the CI, it didn't make any difference.

Constant Injection or K Jetronic was used up to 1985 in Canada, 82 in the US. All turbo's used it but the engine is a B21. I believe any engine will work for a swap, ie if yours is a B23 any B23 will work. What is wrong with your engine?

Nothing is wrong- it has 250k miles and some day I will need to rebuild it- at that time I thought I would put a different engine in.
