89 740 gl wagon alternator replacement? Topic is solved

ok, so I need to replace my alternator. Is it going to be something that I can do on my own? The car is trapped on the fourth floor of a parking garage in the city, and I live in the suburbs. I ordered one of ebay, and it should arrive shortly. Does anybody know how to do this or where I could find out?

The alternator is easy to replace, 3 bolts and two wires. Just make sure you disconnect the negative (-) battery cable first to prevent shorting out the wiring. The alternator is right in the open on the drivers side.
