volvo light problem

Post by joe »

Hello,
1999 Volvo S70 T5
Yesterday, I was returning from a road trip. With 40 miles left (I had already driven around 800 miles) the odometer lights and the stereo system lights turned off. I had to pull over. The rear lights also turned off. However, the headlights remained on. I then turned the light switch to the middle. The odometer lights and stereo lights turned on again and so did the rear lights along with the parking lights in the front. I don't what is going on. The odometer lights only turn on when the headlights are off. If someone could please help me, that would be great.

Sounds like a fuse to me. They're under the hood on driver's side, if it's like my 850.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.

Also -> Amazon link
. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

I would check the fuses, but I don't think that's the problem. Possibly the headlight switch.

It happened to my friends volvo and it actually ended up being the ignition switch -- but that was just a fluke, imo.
