240 rebuilt engines Topic is solved

my friend is selling me his 92' 240. the engine has over 200,000 miles and i'm thinking of rebuilding the engine OR buying a rebuilt and having it installed. are there any "very good" engine rebuilders i can buy an engine from?
i've been wondering if i could get a 6 cyl engine and tranny to install in the 240... is it possible? and is it worth it? i understand that the 4 cyl is a little under-powered.

Yeah the 4 cylinder is slightly underpowered... i mean a 2.0 litre in a 2.5t car is slightly rediculous.
if you look around on the internet there's many things that people have done to their volvos, like putting in chev and ford v8's nissan RB30's (turbo 6 cylinder, very nice engine) etc etc etc
