double billing Topic is solved
double billing
(7 850 my car outstanding. Trans service performed Aug 04 by one dealer. Next time for oil change at Borton volvo now Maroone. Juust 1 month later service advised me that I needed transmission service. It was only after reviewing my invoices that I beacame aware of this double billing. I cannot get to first base to dioscuss this with Maroone starting with Serv Mgr and incl Gen Mgr. No No response from them. The initial service of the tranny was performed by Palm Bch Volvo and they expressed concern that this happened and offered to make adjustments even tho it might not have been their error. I commend them. But ,not to hear word one from a dealer tha I worked with for 16 yrs and 4 Volvos, thts really sticking it to me. I cannot get an e-mail address for Marketing rep for a meeting and have struck a dead end trying to contact authority at Volvo NA. This is not customer retention. Thank you.Marvin Saunders

Volvo USA won't be able to help you out either. I had a serious complaint against a dealer and the response I got from Volvo was rather weak. I wrote a 4 page letter of complaint plus documented invoices and where the dealer went wrong. Keep in mind, this was after about a 3 hour discussion with the dealer service manager.
Anyway, Volvo's resposne was that Volvo does not own the dealer and therefore can not authorize any reimbursements. If I wanted a reimbursement it would have to be authorized by the dealer. This annoyed me because the dealer said they had no problems with reimbursing people because they just send it to Volvo USA and get the reimbursement from them.
So now I am in the process of going through small claims court. Depending on the amounts you are looking at this could be a viable option. It's usually informal and you can defend yourself provided you do it well. Most judges in this situation sympathize with the owner since they are going through so much trouble it would seem that the owner's complaint it valid. Small claims court vary state-to-state so find out about your's and maybe this could be an option.
I hope some of this helped.
