940 stalls Topic is solved

have a 92 940t after heating for 10-15 min car begins to stall just running or if put into gear revs drop and turbo boost gauge begins to rise had recent overheating problem caused by broken heater hose which was replaced removed t stat when overheated it was ok but have not put it back since car was parked after repair and we had a snowstorm in the east.don't think t stat is problem help

Definitly reinstall the thermostat, firstly the egine will not get warm enough for the ECU to go into closed loop, it will think the engine is still warming up and deliver a richer mixture and retarded timing. Secondly the engine coolant will circulate too quickly without a thermostat with the common result being overheating.
