Greetings,
I have a 1998 S70 with 97500 miles. This morning, I turned on the car and my bulb failure warning light was on. The headlights, turn signals, and brights were okay, as were the brake lights. What could be causing the warning light to come on?

I do have some lights out at various places on the dashboard (some CD buttons, air temp). Not sure if the warning light affects interior lights, though . . .
Hey there, this could also be caused by a bad relay for that lamp. Check the relay box and see if there are different relays for each set of head lights. have someone flip the light switch, if you don't here the relay clicking, it is bad and needs to be replaced. (NOTE: if you have your daytime running lights on, you need to disable them. You need the lights to go from off to on).
Good luck, I hope that helps, If you rule out the relay look at the connector again and make sure you didn't break any wiring.
though this is unlikely, a healight switch failure could also have caused this problem. good luck!

I've just discovered that the red door warning light on the passenger door is completely dead. The driver side one is okay. I disconnected the passenger light and the warning light stayed on; I reconnected it, and the warning light continued to be on. The door light, though, would not turn on.

I have the same problem on my 2001 C70, it fluctuates between the lamp l and the check engine light. It must have to do with the warning lights themselves. I goes on for days at a time then goes off for a month or so with the check engine light doing the same thing.
We checked all the bulbs, they are fine. Dealer states no diagnostics on check engine lamp. They told us to check the gas cap for that one, (I've heard that before and it too was fine)
