Volvo loaner service car

Post by chriss »

I found a 2004 Volvo from a dealer which was used as a car dealer loaner service car. Is there anyone can share experience and/or advice why the dealer wants to sell this loaner service car instead of keeping it for further use? I checked don't see a problem record from carfax report. Thanks in advance for any suggestion and information. :?: [/b]

Our family used to own the import dealer in the city where I live. The Volvo franchise was one line we had. Volvo has a program where they pay dealers to place Volvo cars into a service loaner program for a period of time or until the cars reach a certain number of miles. At that point the dealer can take the car out of the loaner program and offer it to consumers at a discount. The program was designed to keep Volvo customers in Volvo cars, help the dealer establish a loaner program and then to allow for slightly used cars to be purchased at a savings by the customer. Everyone wins. If you are able to find a car that was in a loaner program at a Volvo dealer you have a great opportunity to buy this car at a discount and know that it was properly serviced!

The reason why the dealer does not leave the car in the loaner program is because when an "old" car comes out they can place a "new" car in and get paid again for this "new" car being used as a loaner vehicle.

I hope this helps.
