can anyone tell me if the drivers side power window switch is removeable simply by popping it off from the side panel

My drivers side window switch on my 1999 XC needs to be replaced.
Is this easy to do?

Yes it is real easy to do...you can get the switch out two different ways. The first is to take the panel off. There are about seven or eight clips that hold it in place. The other way is to use a putty knife and slide it under the switch to push the clips that will release the switch. If I remember correctly, there are clips on both sides of the switch. BEFORE you replace the switch, why not clean it. I will bet it will work just fine. I did a write up on this topic somewhere :? , if I can find it I will post you the link to cleaning the switch.
