2005 V70 2.5T: Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On

Post by Peppy »

This week we test drove a brand new V70 2.5T at the dealer with the intention to buy the car that day. However, during the test drive, there was noticeable vibrations that I could feel through the steering wheel and my husband could feel it through the seat. I thought it felt like the tires were not properly balanced. The salesman even admitted he could feel it and agreed that the tires were to blame. While he assured us that they would make sure the car was perfect when we bought it, he also said all V70's have this vibration, new and old. Could this be true? Could a car with 23 miles on it and that costs $38K come with tire vibration as standard equipment? Before we buy, we would like some input. Thanks in advance.

he also said all V70's have this vibration...

Was he serious? Did you bust out laughing? I'd buy a V70 from somewhere else than that dealer.
