Headlight Setting

Headlight Setting
I just bought a 2006 S-40 T5 with xenon headlights last week and am perplexed with the two headlight setting options and what is the difference and which setting is preferable. I do have headlight washers and realize that in the "O" setting, every fifth window wash will result in the headlights also being washed. I also know that in the "O" setting, you can flash your highbeams whereas in the top position the highbeams will stay on. Is this it?? Which position do you mostly drive in and am I missing anything....Thanks

hehe,
right, the 'O' setting is off, wich conversly for a volvo meens its on (daylight running lights).
but because there 'off' , you cant have main beem on , only flash.
when the switch is on it looks the same as when its off, exept that you will now be able to have your main beem on aswell.
if you turn off you DLR's - then you can have the swithch at '0' and have no lights at all. It all makes much more sense like this, honest.
Ive turned of my DLR's so the switch behaves like a normal car
when my lights are off, there off and when there on there on, .........................and when there only half way up , there neither up nor down...

& I know what your next question is going to be...... hope this helps
P.s, not sure if theres any connection between switch position and headlight washers, havnt noticed that on mine. but then mines a phase 1 T4
