Hi guys,
just wondered if you could help with this one. when my v70's handbrake is applied the car rocks backwards. also when i try and pull away i have to pull forwards before being able to reverse. i took it to the volvo main dealer and they said it was water on the discs, but i dnt see how water can hold 5 people and their luggage.
any ideas??
Thanks
Andrew

v70s and you did not specify year brake setup on all v70s are similar their is a separate set of shoes a small drum inside the rear rotor (part of the rotor) the shoes grab the inner drum and since the engagement is separate from the brake calapers and is only in the rear the weight of the car tends to shift to the back and the suspension squats/expands esp. on slopes. also check ot make sure the cable and park brake is releaseing properly otherwise it is ok.
fun to drive
