LONG repairs concern

Post by volvo1997850bostonmass »

I will admit this straight off the bat, I am a Boston driver. My parents come from DC, where they drive like grandmothers. Every time the car goes in for unscheduled maintenance it takes about three days or less. This time it has been over a week and counting. My father has expressed concern over my driving habits. Is it possible that he is having the dealer install some sort of tracking device that keeps track of how the car is driven, caps the speed, etc....I would like to know because if this is the case I'm taking public transportation. This was supposed to be a simple repair of a radio that shorted because of a dying battery and a brake pad replacement. Could you guys help me out on this, please don't be conservative and be like "your dad has your best intentions out for you" or some bs like that. The fact is I'm an A student and I drive terribly. That's the honest truth. I adore my father, but I won't be caught dead driving in a vehicle where other people get to "observe" my driving habits.
