Volvo 850 Wagon No Start

I am looking to purchase a 1997 Volvo 850 wagon. The car has high mileage 159k but it will not start. The seller put a battery booster on it and it does nothing, any ideas on what this problem may be? Any recommendations?

If all accessories work but no cranking and battery is good, there can be a few things can cause this. Bad starter, neutral safety switch, ignition contact switch, or even wiring problem. With my years of experience on Volvo, the ignition contact switch is most common.
