defrost and heat in S40

Post by trudy »

I have a 2005 S40 - Is it possible to have the defrost on and also have heat on the floor at the same time?
Every vehicle I've ever owned has allowed me this. But it doesn't seem to work in this car.
The dealer told me to use the heat control buttons (head, middle, floor) and use the head and floor. That's all find and dandy, but that doesn't keep the side windows defrosted, so I don't think that was a real answer.

I live in upstate NY and well, it's cold here already and I've been needing the defrost and having very cold toes while making it so I can see out my windows.
