I have a 1997 volvo 960. When I got in to start it the alarm went off and it won't start. Only way to get the alarm off is to turn the key in the lock for a couple of minutes. when I opened the hood the alarm goes off too

any ideas

on my 95 960 when that happens i relock the DRIVER door then unlock it again. that should reset the alarm.
