when cold won't start 1993 volvo 940 glt
I have a 1993 Volvo 940 GLT stationwagon..I had taken it to the Volvo dealer for a diagnostic test because whenever it gets cold it has a rough start , it's hard to get the car to speed up without holding all the way down on the gas pedal, and when it does this my check engine light comes on they told me to change my flapper, and they could try other thing but it was reading clear. Lately I have had the fuel pump changed, that stopped the gas problem. It starts some days and some days it won't start, but it mostly only runs when the temp is 50 or above. I also tried getting a new battery, and had the fuel filters changed but still nothing. Anybody have any idea what's going on?

I don't know if you know this but with a fuel injected car you should not touch the gas at all when starting. Are you saying that without touching the gas the car will not start?
We'll say I need to speed up on the freeway I have to push all the way down on the gas to get my card to accelerate, but when I try to start it in the morning you know how if you push on your gas pedal the rpm will go up, with my car if it doesn't start and you push on the gas pedal...nothing happens it just makes the sound as if it wants to start..but nothing..not until maybe it warms up outside.
