Headlight Switch

Hey, does anyone know the wiring layout for the 1989 740 Turbo headlight switch? When i yanked out the switch, there was like 4 wires in the back(white, black, red, and yellow), any one knoe which one is which? and black and red are not ground n positive wires...on accident, when i tapped the black and red together, it brings the ignition on (first click when turning the key) so that my radio turns on.

Hi, I have been checking older wiring diagrams, valid until -86, hopefully it is the same connection in your car. The black is going to number 1, the red is going to number 3, the white is going to number 7, and the orange cable is going to pin number 4. The black is going to the ignition switch, so probably you got some back feeding when connecting the red and black.
