does anyone know if you can move the break and gas pedals forward to help short drivers?

For now that's a feature of the Volvo Safety Concept Car. Are your seats adjusted furthest forward?

I would be a little cautious on any modifications, unless your insurance company gives the ok in writing, or an approved source can make a change.
If you ever had an accident, even if not your fault, one could get into a lengthy battle rgarding un-authourized changes. As long as whatever you do is inspected, then it should be fine.If this is just a change say to get a new/young driver going, well, I would think more about other options, but for oneself, owner/operator, then I would go ahead. Try an internet search if you can about this problem, as I"m sure others have the same situation to deal with, and try and find a reliable source. I would even consider contacting any company that does installs for handicapped people, they would be a good resource.
Good luck!

You can buy blocks which attach to the pedals to effectively bring the pedals closer to you - safer than wearing platform shoes.
Sorry I don't know where you could get them, but auto parts store would be a good start, or the ubiquitous internet.

thanks for all the great advise. I was hoping that since the Volvo is a Ford product and they have the moving pedals in one of their american line cars, that the feature would have migrated to the Volvo. or, someone would have come up with a fix to their old line cars.
