code 0500, vehicle speed sensor malfunction

I own a 1996 850GLT.

I read my codes and came up with this and code 0705. My question is, can this speed sensor be cleaned/fixed and if not, can anyone direct to a place where we get good parts like these...sensor related parts at affordable prices for these makes? Also, can this speed sensor effect the operation of my cruise control?

As for code 0705 (transmission Range Sensor Circuit malfunction (PRNDL Input)...I do believe this is my PNP swicth...can anyone confirm this.
