backup light goes on when AC compressor is on ?

backup light goes on when AC compressor is on ?

I've noticed that the backup light on my 99 XC70 goes on when the AC compressor is on. Is this common or a sign of some failures?

The AC seems to be working Ok, but with the cold weather it is to soon to say it is working perfectly well. I'll see this summer.
