760 Turbo, Trouble @ 4k RPM

Hi,
New to list.. new to volvo's! So far i've been impressed by this volvo, very solid car and such.. But My main problem(there are more.. lol)
IS.
The car seams doesn't want to go past 4k RPM. Its like limited to that.. if I'm driving trying to go past 4k it jumps as if its out of Fuel.

My ideas are..
1. Replace Fuel filter (if i can find it) And replace Air Filter
2. Knock sensor?
3. Fuel pump(s) (i hear there might be 2 on this car???)

Any and all suggestions helpfull.. Thanks!

Hi, I've experienced a similar situation although my car is a non-turbo...
it could also be an erratic fuel pressure regulator (it's near the throttle body), or an erratic distributor cap?

I'm only suggesting because I've had these replaced recently - sorry I couldn't be more technical
