remote
The remote control (fob) does not work for my 1995 Volvo 850 GLT. I have replaced the batteries, but still does not work. Can I get a replacement? and will the replacement be programmed? Can I buy a manual that will tell me how to program /reprogram the old one or the new? Thanks

On this remote issue, I have a 1993 GLT, and see every now and then second hand remotes on Ebay, they all stipulate model years but all look the same, is that a lack of knowledge on the seller's behalf or is there actually a difference in the remote? As to the setting instructions, does anyone have any that actually work then, they seem to also be flogging those on Ebay too, I think thats a bit of a cheek! Alternatively, I was considering doing the whole upgrade to a full starter/immobilzer kit etc does anyone have any recommends as to models for the 850?

DEI makes excellent alarms. Prices range from $100 to $300 depending on the features you want. I say go all-out and get one with 2-way LCD pager remotes, remote-start, battery-under-volt-protect, auxilary control, and a bunch of other cool goodies.
