Just had lambda sensors and CAT replaced by non franchise dealer. Sailed through emission tests and lumpy running now resolved. Fault light 'Fault in Engine Electrical System' now on - presume due to replacement sensors and fact that EMS 2000 needs to be reset.
Is my 1998 V40 EMS 2000 an OBD11 system?
If so is this system now universal enough to warrant purchase of a Diagnostic Trouble Code Reader for EOBD / OBD II Compliant Cars. I have seen these at

It will probably not clear service light.
I'm going to report on OBDII software (for PC laptops) in the next few days if you're interested.
