Subwoofer

Post by gemret »

I just purchased a 2004 V70. The salesman told me the radio was made by Alpine. I would like to install the factory subwoofer because it is made to fit entirely under the floor. However it costs over $400. Does anyone know if Alpine makes this same subwoofer under their brand name? I am thinking buying direct from Alpine would save a few dollars. Comments or advise appreciated.

what are the specifications on the factory sub? There are many options you have, and with the specifications I can recommend the best combination for you. And it would be much less than $400.

The Volvo accessories brochure describes the subwoofer as follows:
"The subwoofer unit is a closed 10 liter loudspeaker box and a 12 inch loudspeaker element designed to produce optimum acoustics. The subwoofer installs under the floor in the luggage compartment area and cannot be seen in the vehicle after installation. Output is 1 x 150 Watt"
