srs 222
Hi Bertrand,
I tried looking all over the net for you for the definition of SRS 222, but with no luck yet. I'll let you know when I hear of something.
However, I am also having trouble clearing SRS code 212. Would you happen to know what this means? I followed your first instructions on how to clear the SRS light and it went away for a while, but then came back the other day. I followed the same procedure to clear it again, but no luck this time. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Daniel

If it's the same code system that you 'pull' from the OBDII system, then 2-1-2 is front O2 sensor failure. I had that, my fuel economy dropped, and everything went back to normal with a new sensor install (easy).
On the other hand, if srs = supplemental restraint system (i.e.: airbags) then sorry I confused the situation.

ok guys i 've been reading your post, i am getting a 212, the srs light is on, anyway the horn stop working, so i took the air bag off to fix the horn, now i am getting that same code, i look at the unit around the steering coloum and it look to be kinda of broken, just plastic parts though, nothing metal, could this be the cause of the code 212...well the only thing that is broken is where the 3 screws hold it in place, apperently it was like that for awhile and the light wasnt on....any idead on clearing this srs light

Hi Dave,
To get rid of the SRS light, turn engine dash lights on but not with the actual engine on. Go under the hood were the block A and B area is and take the testing wire from block A and put it into hole #5 of block B. Go through the same clearing sequence as you would with the check engine light removal (i.e. push the button once to check codes, then push button for 8 seconds, then when red LED comes on, push immediately for another 8 seconds, then push button once again for clear code of 1-1-1). SRS light should magically disappear!
Regards,
Daniel

the srs 222 code is for the passenger air bag it could be the sensor or the airbag connection terminal,it could also be the wiring under the front carpet on passenger side,as soon as I will find my damn trouble I will let you know,,Bertrand Magny
