I had the micro-switch replaced because I sometimes couldn't get the 1994 850 out of park. Since then, (occassionally) it doesn't want to automatically shift once in drive. I have to stop, put it in park, back into drive and it seems to fix itself.
Any ideas?

Check auto trans fluid level, color and smell. Should be pink and not burnt smelling.
When you check level car should be warm and level, while idling.
